Owner & Principal Dance Teacher
Michelle founded MFK (My Fantastic Kids) Academy of Irish Dance - Michelle's 2nd Dance Academy - in 2011.
As a dancer of over 40 years, Michelle has achieved many distinctions both on and off the stage.
With over 20 years teaching experience Michelle is a T.C.R.G. JPCDec. She is fully registered and qualified with An Commissiun Rince Gaelacha - Dublin, Ireland.

Michelle is currently the only fully registered and qualified teacher with Ireland in Toowoomba.
With a warm heart and a true love for dancing and teaching, you are sure to feel welcome in her presence. Michelle has produced State, National and World Qualifying dancers around Australia.
Tori Burgess
Assistant Dance Teacher
Tori is a retired dancer from MFK Academy of Irish Dance, and is Michelle's daughter. Tori has always been a role model as a senior dancer to the younger & older dancers in the school, assisting teaching in multiple classes and workshops.

Tori has many amazing achievements including solo & teams in State, National & World level. Tori has achieved 14 years as a World Qualifier, with many State & National Team Titles over the years. After a 24 year long dancing career, Tori has retired from competitions in 2024 and will now be continuing her love of Irish dance with the MFK Academy teaching team.
​
In 2023, Tori graduated as full-time student with a Bachelor of Paramedicine & Bachelor of Nursing. Tori is currently working as a full-time Registered Paramedic within Brisbane.
​
We welcome with a warm heart, Tori on board as a valued assistant Teacher with MFK Academy of Irish Dance in 2024.
